A common mistake

I came across something ironically like the story recently about a US political something or other (I can't remember who it was) who said that "an internet was sent to me, but was late because it got tangled up"!

It goes something... a-likeadisa:

"Hi Miss McC!
Just was looking through my vocab book and thought i would write a blog for you!!
www.vokabel.com is really helpful!"

Hmmm... Is that a common mistake, or is it the technical deficiency of my fellow contemporaries? I suppose they could be the same thing!

That extract is a comment from a blog which places up extra vocabulary and tips for a german class, in a school.
